WHAT'S NEW

Updated 19/11/2008

Hey!  Greg has a new love!  Yes folks it is true, Greg has a new love in his life.........

No, he is still happily married but he has recently got his hands on a new Hagstrom Jazz Guitar HL550 model.  Go to photos to see the pictures.  He will be playing guitar at some up-coming gigs including the Swing Era Big Band and his Rhapsody Duo

Argentina, eat your heart out!

Greg recently heard from Maximo Seligmann (Jazz promoter and fan) formerly from Argentina and now residing in Spain.  Max told Greg that when he lived in Argentina he regularly watched him playing in the Dave Dallwitz Big Band at Bondi Beach (see my Youtube Videos).  Amazing!

Greg makes it to the 21'st Century!

Some footage of Greg performing is now available on Youtube!  Go to the new Videos page and click on the hyperlinks.  Despite this leap in technology he still refuses to text message people, "I prefer to talk to people on the phone, isn't that what it is for?"  As for taking photos with a phone........

Greg at the Auckland Jazz Club.

On 20 April this year Greg and his old piano player Neville Byrnes performed to a very appreciative crowd at the Auckland Jazz Club in New Zealand (see photo gallery).  Greg and Neville had the crowd up and dancing with some great Louis numbers.  A great time was had by all!

MP3.com.au number ones.

Greg continues to spend a lot of time at Number 1 as JAZZ ARTIST and JAZZ TRACKS on MP3.com.au.  His jazz songs especially are being downloaded more each week.

On week-ending 29/03/08 Greg has the ALL of the TOP 5 JAZZ TRACKS, a Number 1 SWING TRACK, a Number 3 LATIN TRACK, Number 2 EASY LISTENING ARTIST and finally made it as a TOP 40 POP/ROCK ARTIST!  To hear Greg's tracks click here!

Greg's song "I'm not as think as you drunk I am" entered the charts as number 2 for Dixieland and 3 for Swing and the next week both were number 1.  The song is getting a large number of hits.  The song was inspired by my friend Tom Petty (Yes, THE Tom Petty) and Tom had a listen and liked it.  His comment is recorded below in my Comments section.  To hear this song click here!

2008 represents 30 years as a professional musician for Greg.

Yes!  Greg has reached 30 years as a professional musician since his first professional job with the Tony Gardner Big Band at Carlingford in 1978.  Either he's doing something right or he's getting older, (or maybe both).
