Welcome to the official website for Greg Englert Music.
I am a multi-instrumentalist based in Sydney Australia. I cover trumpet, trombone, saxophone, guitar as well as sing, compose and arrange. Some highlights in my career are:-
Performances on Film, T.V., Radio and numerous recordings
Performances with many Jazz greats including Bob Barnard, Ricky May, Dave Dallwitz, Big Bands and Jazz ensembles
I am currently also playing guitar and trumpet with the Sydney Rock Band 'Glory Daze'.
Supported many overseas acts including KC and the Sunshine Band
Writer, Full Member of the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA)
Composed music for the Athens Paralympics, (US Equestrian Team, see Media)
My compositions are receiving airplay across Australia as well as overseas locations including India, New Zealand and America.
Performed for many years at Stadium Australia and the Sydney Football Stadium for the NSW and Australian Rugby Union and Rugby League
Performed at 35,000 feet in a Qantas Jumbo Jet over the Antarctic on New Years Eve (with the Abbey Jazz Band).
My hobbies include music composition, oil painting and Horse riding. I live on a farm on the outskirts of Sydney with my wife Libby and our horses and dog.
I have many musical enterprises:-
Rhapsody - a band that can cover most styles from Jazz and Swing through Pop and Rock
Ozz Jazz - which is the traditional 'Dixieland' type band
The Rhapsody Duo - Swing and dixieland hits
